Please help us welcome the newest member of the DVEC Board of Directors, William "Bill" Cuthbertson!

Bill was appointed in January 2024 to the board to fill a vacancy for District 1. He, along with two other candidates, submitted a letter of interest and a resume. Each of the three candidates then completed an in person interview with the remaining members of the board.

Per the Bylaws of the cooperative (Article IV, Directors; Section 7. Vacancies), he was then "appointed by the affirmative vote of the majority of the remaining directors."

Bill has been a lifelong member of Greenlee County (minus a stint for college) and a DVEC member for 15+ years. He retired as a Senior Resource Analyst of the Land and Water Department for Freeport McMoran where he worked for 35 years. He holds a BSE in Civil Engineering and a BAE in Industrial Education. Bill served on the Arizona State Transportation Board as well as the Morenci School Governing Board.
