Mike Pearce

Michael Pearce, Chief Executive Officer

Mike has worked for the co-op since 1973, starting as an apprentice lineman. For the past 22 years, he has supervised linemen work in the electric and gas departments and was appointed CEO in 2010. As CEO, Miike interfaces with the Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Co-op. Mike is a graduate of 1NRECA's Key Accounts and Management Internship Programs. He serves on the board of Southwest Transmission Cooperative and is a member of  2GCSECA's Purchasing and Safety & Loss Control Committees.

Steven Lunt, Administrative Manager

Steve began working for the co-op in 1995, starting as an accountant. For the past 12 years, he has supervised the front office crew and  is in charge of the co-op's financial reporting.  As the Administrative Manager, Steve oversees Finances, Information Technology, and Member Information Services and directs the work in  Accounting, Billing, and Human Resources. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and NRECA's Management Internship Program. Steve serves on GCSECA's Education & Professional Development and Member & Public Relations Committees.

Mike Strain

Mike Strain, Electric Crew Chief

Mike was hired in 1987 as a lineman's apprentice and now directs the Line Crew in construction, maintenance and service of the electric distribution system. Mike attended college at New Mexico State University and Western New Mexico University. Mike also completed the electric trade program at Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute. In 1994 Mike completed the Merchant Power Line Training course to become DVEC's first Journeyman Lineman to complete a nationally recognized certification program.

Kimberly Waters, Accountant/Board Assistant

Joining the DVEC's workforce in 2004, Kim handles Human Resources,  Billing and Collections, and General Ledger Accounting. She also works with the board of directors for scheduling, keeping minutes, and maintaining the policies adopted by the board. Kim has an accounting degree from Western New Mexico University. Kim serves as the local coordinator for GCSECA's Washington Youth Tour program and assists the Judy White Memorial Scholarship  committee.

Richard Hervol

Richard Hervol, Gas Crew Chief

Richard began work for DVEC in 1994 as a gas technician. He is responsible for and directs the gas crew in gas pipeline safety compliance, welding/fusion certification, cathodic protection, and annual leak surveys. Richard attended Eastern New Mexico University and University of Texas-El Paso. He serves as DVEC's representative for Arizona's gas utilities association.
